Homemade Dish/ Laundry Soap

I attempted to make my first batch of laundry soap last week. Why, you say??? To save money, why else? So far I am pleased with the laundry soap, not so much with the dishwasher soap.

How To:
Grate one bar of soap (your choice) many recommend Ivory.

Mix 1 cup Borax w/ 1 cup of Washing Soda.
Add grated soap.

Use 2 Tablespoons per load.

* I had a hard time finding the Washing Soda, finally found it at Homeland.

I can't believe you are making detergent!! Too funny.

Glad to hear the baby looks good. Just have to take care of yourself. So wonderful to have your mom there to help out.

We're still searching for a different house with all our main needs met on the ground level rather than upstairs. I may have found one. But just looking at this point.

Rest! Enjoy your mom. This part won't last forever. Baby will be here before you know it! D

The laundry soap works great. Used it for over a year. I have talked to a lot of people were were not to pleased with the dish soap. I would maybe use it with handwashing dishes. Because I could rinse them by eye and make sure no residue. (wait then again I DONT HAVE a dishwasher lol)
